Polygon PoS has upgraded its token from MATIC to POL. Coinbase will convert all Polygon (MATIC) to Polygon Ecosystem Token (POL) from October 14-17, 2025, including staked assets. During the migration window, rewards for staking Polygon (MATIC) will not accrue.

Polygon (MATIC) order books have been moved to limit-only mode.
Ahead of the migration, the following Polygon (MATIC) services will be impacted: - Staking and unstaking will be disabled October 7 - Trading will be permanently disabled October 14 - Sends and receives will be disabled October 14-17
If you wish to opt-out of this automatic conversion please send your Polygon (MATIC) to a compatible self-custody wallet before October 14. If you wish to opt-out from the conversion of your staked Polygon (MATIC), please unstake before October 7 and send your Polygon (MATIC) to a compatible self-custody wallet before October 14.
